#Now Entering

People will only protect what they love, and people can only love what they know.

The idea behind the #NowEntering campaign? Remind people that they are entering a unique place. A neighborhood where artists and arts organizations can thrive.

The Capitol Hill Arts District is a coalition of arts advocates galvanized to keep Capitol Hill a thriving art scene invested in the creation of daring work, independent artists, and emerging ideas. We promote cultural engagement; harness resources; and preserve, enhance, and create space for artists and the arts.

It’s all around you. We want to know where you see art in this neighborhood. Take a photo of your favorite place to create, view, watch, or think about art in Capitol Hill. Post it to Instragram with the hashtags #NowEntering #CapitolHillArtsDistrict.

At the end of April, we’ll select five of our favorites. Our friends at Central Frames have offered to frame photos for the winners and we’ll feature them on the Arts District Facebook page and during the May Art Walk.
